Open Access Policy

Staying true to the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge, the Journal Editorial Board of IEM embraces the ideas of Open Access with an open heart.
“Libre Access” (Re-use Rights)
Prior to 2019, the content of IEM Journal could be reproduced as long as permission was granted by the Journal Editorial Board (JEB) and the author, as well as the source was stated by those who wish to reproduce it.
Since 2019, IEM Journal has adopted the Creative Commons 4.0 International License (BY - NC - SA). Anyone who wishes to reproduce the content may do so, with the condition that the source is stated and linked, and changes indicated clearly if there are any (Attribition), the paper is not for commercial purpose (Non-Commercial), and the paper is shared in a similar manner (ShareAlike).
“Gratis Access” (Fees)
Since its inception in 1961, IEM Journal has neither charged authors for publication (Article Processing Charges or Article Submission Charges), nor charged the subscribers for reading the Journal. Moreover, complimentary copies are mailed to universities and institutions of engineers around the world.
Repository Policy
The IEM Journal permits authors to deposit all versions of their work in an institutional or subject repository. This policy sets out how IEM journal authors can self-archive versions of their work on their web pages, on institutional web pages, and in another repository. The journal has no specific repository policy like Diadorim, Dulcinea, Mir@bel, Sherpa/Romeo, or Other (including the publisher’s own site)
